The Society was established immediately after liberation by Sheikha Latifa Al-Fahd Al-Salem Al-Sabah under Ministerial Decree No. 1056 of 1991, in recognition of her pioneering efforts in volunteer work. Its headquarters are located in Kuwait, and today it is led by Her Highness Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah."
