National Day - kuwait Al Ezz February 2024.

The Women's Voluntary Society for Community Development, in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters, organized the national cultural heritage festival "Kuwait Al-Azz" at the Kuwait National Library and Sadou Street. The event included a seminar, an exhibition, and various artistic performances.

Mrs. Fadyah Saad Al-Abdullah, the Chairwoman of the Society's Board of Directors, emphasized in a press statement on Thursday the commitment to annual participation in national celebrations. She highlighted the importance of conducting various activities to celebrate this significant occasion, dear to the hearts of Kuwaitis, and to play an informative role in introducing the services provided by the association.

For the second consecutive year, the celebration is organized to coincide with national festivities with the aim of promoting national unity, spreading joy, instilling citizenship values in the hearts of children, and emphasizing the importance of hard work and dedication to building a better future for Kuwait by its citizens.

She explained that celebrating national holidays is an opportunity to remember the sacrifices and heroism of Kuwaitis in preserving the homeland, instilling a sense of belonging and loyalty in future generations, and spreading joy and optimism on this cherished occasion for every Kuwaiti.

Sheikh Fadia emphasized the importance of celebrating national holidays in recalling the sacrifices of fathers, grandfathers, and Kuwait's children in securing its freedom and independence. She mentioned the Society's efforts to intensify its national activities and develop its initiatives to contribute to enhancing communication, as well as promoting a sense of belonging to the homeland.

She expressed her sincere wishes for Kuwait to remain prosperous and secure under the leadership of His Highness the Amir of the country, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, wishing Kuwait and its generous people continued prosperity and security, remaining proud always.

On a similar note, Sheikha Nabeela Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, the Society's Treasurer, stated in a similar speech that the celebration included a patriotic operetta performed by students from Yousuf Bin Issa Secondary School and a panel discussion attended by social studies teachers from all educational levels and from all regions of the country, titled "Kuwait Al-Azz and Al-Fakhr."

She mentioned that the celebration was filled with love, affection, and national sentiments among the attendees who echoed the national songs that filled the venue. Additionally, the Najd Folk Arts Group performed a traditional Kuwaiti heritage program, including competitions for both adults and children and an entertaining program.

She explained that the celebration included a heritage exhibition with the participation of the Kuwaiti Heritage Society, the Middle Ground Promotion Center, the Dasma Health City, Umm Atiya Al-Ansariya School, and the Bilingual Asrar Al-Qubandi School, along with traditional games for children.

Dr. Mona Al-Qattan, the Society's Secretary, stated that the goal of the national celebration is to strengthen Kuwaiti identity and instill values in the hearts of children through this beautiful and authentic popular event. She acknowledged the struggles and patience of ancestors.

She expressed hope that the current generation would be an extension of the ancestors in their patience, keen on transmitting the authentic heritage to future generations to preserve our Kuwaiti identity. She noted that the celebration embodies the spirit of collaboration with various entities and civil society institutions in presenting the popular heritage through sculptures, paintings, and national displays.
